We’re so excited that you want to join our global team of photographers and would love to tell you more about us!

Please read the below Terms of Service carefully before joining us a photographer.

What is Taylor Content?

Taylor Content is a photography platform where we connect photographers and clients based on location, style and type of shoot, all over the world. Our community of photographers are all in line with our simple, minimalist theme but with their own shooting style. We make it easy for people to find photographers to capture their magic moments.

How It Works

We work as an online photography agency and send over potential clients who are interested in shooting with you. We help to manage the process, including coordinating dates and locations before connecting you with the client and making sure you both have all of the information you need. If you shoot anything from our custom People/Content/Events packages, this process may vary from client to client.

It’s completely free for photographers to join our platform and free for people to use and search for photographers but a 10% finder’s fee is taken from our photographers for all work/shoots booked through Taylor Content.

Once you’ve joined us, you are free to take on work as normal outside of Taylor Content. We ask all photographers to be respectful and not engage in third-party business with any clients found or booked through Taylor Content: this includes arranging shoots privately (including after the arranged shoot), buying prints, extra time, additional photos, passing on photographer details to others, etc.

EXAMPLE: If you’re booked for a shoot through Taylor Content and the client reaches out to you privately afterwards to work together again instead of going through Taylor Content, you must remind them that you’ve been booked for a shoot through our platform and any future work must also go through us. Please remember it is strictly prohibited to work with clients who have found your services, previously booked or contacted you through Taylor Content, unless it goes through us. Photographers not abiding by this will be removed from our site permanently.

Preparing For The Day

We recommend keeping in touch with the client and keeping them updated of any changes. We also recommend getting there early - if you arrive at the meeting point 10/15 minutes before the arranged time, it ensures that you’re not late and therefore not cutting into the clients photography time.

If the client is late, this will cut into their shoot and they are responsible for letting you know as soon as possible. You must wait 30 minutes for them but if you haven’t heard from them or had an update within 30 minutes, this will be considered a no-show and you will receive payment in full for your time. If the client wants you to shoot for longer and you have no other commitments and are happy to do so, the client can purchase additional shooting time through Taylor Content. Otherwise, you will just have the remaining time to capture as many images as you are able to manage in the time left. With the Custom People, Content and Events packages, it depends on how many hours the client has booked for - if it’s a whole day it may limit the number of photographs that can be captured. If you are late, you’ll need to add on the time at the end and ensure the client still has the agreed amount of photographs provided to them at the end.

Clients can reschedule their shoots up to 5 days in advance with no charge. If they reschedule within 5 days or less, they will be charged a fee. If you need to reschedule, please let us know via email as soon as possible with at least 5 days notice. If the client isn’t able to make another date/time, the shoot will be cancelled and the client will be refunded in full, and we will keep our 10% finder’s fee to cover the Taylor Content management of the booking.

Clients can cancel their shoots up to 5 days in advance with no charge. If they cancel within 5 days or less, no refund will be issued and the money goes to the photographer for their time. If you need to completely cancel your shoot, please let us know via email as soon as possible with at least 5 days notice. We will try our best to find an alternative photographer or reschedule but if we can’t find a solution that the client is happy with, the full price of the shoot will be refunded and we keep our 10% finder’s fee to cover the Taylor Content management of the booking.

In the case of unforeseen circumstances or if the weather means that the shoot can’t go ahead (e.g. extreme weather conditions like a flood/storm, or if the shoot is specifically arranged to be outdoors), the photographer will offer an alternative location. If one can’t be provided, a new date will be arranged that works for both parties. The photographer will be responsible for contacting the client directly in this instance.

Other Things To Note

1. Bookings, confirmation and before the shoot

You will receive a confirmation email with all of the details you’ll need when the shoot is confirmed! You will have the client’s details 7 days prior to your shoot at the very latest.

2. Pricing and changes

  • We reserve the right to change our prices at any time but will always inform all photographers of any pricing changes that may impact them well in advance. Once an order has been made, the payment agreed upon can not be changed.

  • You will receive payment for the shoot within 3-5 working days of the shoot going ahead either via Stripe/PayPal/Transferwise. All prices are stated in Great British Pounds.

  • You have the right to review and accept or decline any shoots we send over for your consideration before we arrange and book with the client.

  • Although we will try our best to ensure all information on the site is correct, if we have listed an incorrect price as an administrative or typographical error, we reserve the right to cancel any orders placed at the incorrect price.

  • All photographers on Taylor Content, although required to meet certain requirements, are not employees but third party independent contractors. We are in no way responsible for their acts or omissions, and take no liability for them in any way.

3. After The Photoshoot

  • The images for shoots in our set People packages must be sent to the client within 72 hours. For any custom shoots (People/Content/Events), this is based on the type of shoot, number of images agreed upon and the occasion. The date that the client will receive the photographs will be provided to them before the booking and agreed upon before the shoot goes ahead.

  • The number of photos available will be the amount agreed on before the shoot commences, depending on the package chosen. The photographer is responsible for selecting the best images and these will be uploaded to a private viewing gallery or sent via WeTransfer, and unedited pictures will not be included.

  • The images will not go through extensive editing but will be lightly edited, including colour corrections and exposure adjustments. The client can purchase additional images after the shoot through Taylor Content if they’d like more imagery and there will be a charge for this. The price is set by the photographer.

  • For our set People packages, there will be one round of light edits/changes only. For any custom shoots, the number of light edits/changes will be agreed upon with the client before the shoot goes ahead.

4. Usage/Copyright Protection/Data

  • The photographers will retain all rights to the photographs that have been taken on all shoots, including all intellectual property rights to the photographs, and may use the photographs for their own promotional, advertising and marketing purposes. The clients will have a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use the photographs for personal use only.

  • The images may not be used for any commercial purposes, unless the photographer is aware of this beforehand and this is agreed upon. If images will be used for commercial purposes, the photographer must give their explicit permission prior to the shoot. All images from our set People packages are strictly for personal use only.

  • By joining Taylor Content, you agree that we have the right to use images taken by photographers booked through us on: our website, social media channels and any internal/external promotional content or documentation. If you’d prefer us not to, please let us know. You understand that although the images won’t be used publicly (on our website or social media channels), the images may still be used for internal purposes.
